Data warehouse automation is the process of automating data flows from multiple systems and processing it so that it becomes available to Business Intelligence tools and other systems - without the need for any manual intervention. The data is typically loaded from files or from APIs into a staging area. From there the data is cleansed and pre-processed prior to loading to the data warehouse. Once in the data warehouse, further automaton is used to combine and aggregate the raw data so that it transforms into useful information. The data warehouse then presents the information to a Business Intelligence tool such as Power BI or enables further processing and sharing of the data with other systems such as compliance and marketing.
